2025 TIGAR Committee Sign-Ups

REALTORS® and Affiliates, your ideas, and your voice are vital to TIGAR. By participating and contributing to a committee through your service, you form the policies, procedures, and services for the future of the Association. You are invited and strongly encouraged to be a 2025 TIGAR volunteer!

Please review the committee descriptions below before deciding which committees you want to participate in. Committee selections will be reviewed and you will be notified by staff of your acceptance before the committee is scheduled to meet.

Affiliate Committee
The Affiliate Committee provides Affiliate members an opportunity to help the Association membership and be recognized for their efforts. They provide support for various association committees and activities.

DEI Committee
Coordinates activities related to increasing the overall diversity and inclusiveness of TIGAR Volunteers and leadership.

Finance Committee
Propose annual budget and periodic adjustments as required; conduct reviews of financial statements; analyze the financial impact of proposed Association programs and projects, and make recommendations regarding them to the Board of Directors.

Global
The Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS® Global Committee is committed to providing member-driven education and awareness, collaborating with other groups, local governments, and business leaders, extending partnerships with like-minded professionals and businesses, as well as gathering resources to grow business relationships and promoting a cultural underrating of international business practices.

Grant Writing Work Group
The Grant Writing Work Group is responsible for researching, writing, and managing grant applications that support the mission and strategic initiatives of the association.  This group will focus primarily on grants available through the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), while also seeking out and applying for additional grant opportunities that align with the association’s goals.  “In addition to the core responsibilities outlined, this working group will collaborate with other committees within the association as needed to maximize the overall impact and benefit of the grants.  By encouraging cross-committee communication and cooperation, the working group aims to ensure that resources are utilized effectively, enhancing the association’s ability to meet its strategic goals and provide value to its members.

Grievance
The Grievance Committee reviews complaints alleging a violation of a membership, Code of Ethics, and/or MLS duty to determine whether or not the complaint should be forwarded to the Professional Standards Committee for hearing.  It does not, however, determine a member’s guilt or innocence or mediate between the parties.  Its primary function is to determine whether or not a disciplinary complaint is appropriate for hearing>

Qualifications: Annual training required, REALTOR® must have closed, or participated in 3 sides in the previous 12 months. Participation must be proven in writing; Brokerage Management, Office Owners, Broker of Record – office must have closed at least 3 sides in the previous twelve months; minimum 3 years as a REALTOR® Member.

Legislative Committee
Recommends and coordinates actions relating to statewide and nationwide legislation through C.A.R. and NAR through civic participation at the local level and recommends and coordinates action affecting city and county legislation, zoning, and regulations.

MLS
Recommends MLS policies, Rules, and Regulations through the Board of Directors to CRMLS.

Mountain Council
To utilize information, interaction, involvement, and support to expand The Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS® sphere of influence throughout the mountain communities.

Professional Standards Committee
Provides panelists for disciplinary or arbitration hearings in accordance with the Professional Standards Rules outlined in the California Association of REALTORS® Manual.  

Qualifications: Annual training required, REALTOR® must have closed, or participated in at least 3 sides in the previous twelve months.  Participation must be proven in writing; Brokerage Management, Office Owners, Broker of Record – office must have closed at least 3 sides in the previous twelve months; REALTOR® Member for a minimum of three years.

Public Relations Committee
Plan and promote a variety of real estate-related projects and events for members to promote community involvement through projects designed to educate and build community awareness to promote TIGAR and its members.

Recreation
Arrange recreational and social activities under the supervision of the Board of Directors to bring REALTOR® members closer in fellowship.

Young Professionals Network (YPN)
Help real estate practitioners become more business savvy by hosting regular networking events, communicating with other YPN members, and sharing tips and tricks.
